UFC Vegas 124 will reach Saturday with its entire 14-fight lineup intact. All 28 fighters made weight Friday at Meta APEX in Las Vegas, including both men in the short-notice heavyweight main event.

Waldo Cortes Acosta came in at 262 pounds. Johnny Walker weighed 239, creating a 23-pound difference at the top of the card. Both were comfortably inside the heavyweight limit.

The clean session was a welcome result for an event that already needed a late rebuild. Walker and Cortes Acosta were paired after Sean Brady's staph infection removed the original main event. Walker accepted after making a successful move to heavyweight in October, while Cortes Acosta took his fourth assignment of 2026.

A big gap on the scale, but no issue

Cortes Acosta's 23-pound advantage is noticeable, though it creates no rules problem at heavyweight. The division runs from above 205 through 265 pounds, with a one-pound allowance in non-title fights.

Walker still looks lean for heavyweight after years at 205 pounds. He will need his speed and reach against a heavier opponent. Cortes Acosta is the proven heavyweight, and Saturday's fight may turn on whether Walker can keep the pace high without letting the Dominican close the distance.

Neither fighter needed a second attempt. The UFC's official weigh-in page lists Cortes Acosta as the No. 6 heavyweight entering the five-round bout.

The co-main event is set

Former strawweight title challengers Virna Jandiroba and Tatiana Suarez also made weight without trouble. Jandiroba registered 116 pounds and Suarez was 115.5. Their three-round co-main event could move the winner close to another championship opportunity.

Davey Grant and Elijah Smith each hit 135.5 for their bantamweight fight. That keeps Smith's final bout under his current UFC contract on schedule. Austin Bashi and late replacement Carlos Calderon both weighed 145.5, four days after Calderon accepted his UFC debut.
