Those shoulder strikes against the cage though... 👀
Am I the only one noticing how devastating shoulder strikes are becoming in clinch positions? Fighters like Volkanovski have been using them effectively. They're incredibly hard to see coming and if timed right, they can accumulate damage fast. No wonder clinch pressure is valued so highly now. The evolution of MMA clinch game in the last few years has been chef's kiss.

Prediction: We're gonna see a wrestling Renaissance in 2026
Mark my words - wrestling is coming back. Too many striking-heavy fighters are running into grapplers with legit wrestling programs. The pendulum always swings. By next year we're gonna see more coaches emphasizing wrestling fundamentals, takedown defense, and chain wrestling sequences. It's cyclical in MMA and we're due for the wrestling era.

Jiu-jitsu in MMA is being underestimated again
Every generation we seem to forget the importance of solid jiu-jitsu. Yeah, striking gets all the hype, but a deep leg lock game or a solid guard can still end fights. Look at some of the recent submissions. We need more grapplers with well-rounded stand-up. The grappling exchanges at elite levels are getting wild but that fundamental jiu-jitsu knowledge is crucial.

Best boxing footwork in MMA right now?
Seriously asking - who has the best pure boxing fundamentals in MMA today? I'd give it to someone like Volkanovski or maybe Canelo when he was active, but I'm curious what the community thinks. Footwork, hand positioning, distance management... all of it. Who's your pick and why?

Usman's striking evolution is insane
I've been watching Usman's last few fights and his striking progression is unreal. The hands are much sharper, footwork is tighter. If he ever fights Adesanya, that matchup just got even more interesting. His jab-cross combos have been clinical. What do you all think? Is he finally developing that world-class striking we've been waiting for?
